Worcestershire Life summer luncheon

Worcestershire Life held a summer luncheon for clients, contacts and contributors at the award-winning Wildmoor Oak pub and restaurant at Wildmoor, near Bromsgrove. Lorenzo Richards and his staff served a Caribbean menu bursting with sunshine.

Guests included representatives of businesses across the county and Worcestershire Life writers Katie Johnson, Chris Mowbray and The Parson and The Publican, aka The Reverend Ian Charlesworth and Richard Stockton.

Wildmoor Oak, voted Most Loved English and Caribbean Restaurant in the UK 2011, serves a wide variety of traditional English and Caribbean food as well as catering for special diets. Its popular Caribbean Night, on the last Thursday of every month includes a two course buffet menu, free raffle, limbo competition and dancing till late.

Reception 
Caribbean rum punch and tropical fruit punch served with Caribbean canapés


Main courses
West Indian chicken
Chicken supreme marinated in West Indian herbs and spices, pan-fried and finished in a lightly spiced sauce. Served with rice and peas and seasonal vegetables.

Tobago medley
A blend of several different Caribbean beans cooked with chunky onions and peppers in a creamy coconut and tomato sauce. Served with rice and peas and seasonal vegetables.


Dessert
Jamaican Rum cake
Rich fruitcake steeped in rum served with a brandy Chantilly cream


Coffee
Filter coffee served with an almond biscuit
